PERIANI is a wine company of modern type, producing high quality wines via traditional and classic technologies.
The enterprise was established in 2003. A desire to continue a family tradition of wine-making became a prerequisite for its establishment.
The whole complex of PERIANI covers 80 hectars, located on the Alazani Valley, on the lands of village Vejini. The Wine Cellar is built in the middle of the vineyard planted by ancestors. Hence, the relation between growing grapes and turning them into the wine is kept as close as possible.
Unique location of the vineyards, rich soil and moderate climate are the source of favorable conditions for the high quality grapes.
The following varieties are planted in the vineyard, i.e. Saperavi, Khikhvi, Rose Rkatsiteli, Manavi Mtsvane, Kakhuri Mtsivana, Alexandrouli, Ojaleshi, Shavkapito, Chinebuli and Tavkveri.
It is planned to search and plant the forgotten, less common and rare Georgian varieties. New wines produced via traditional and classic technologies will be conducted following to harvesting the qualitative harvest and performint relevant tests.
The Wine Cellar is equipped via completely new, modern European equipment and machinery, letting us to process up to 1000 tones of grape per season.
PERIANI produces amber, white, rose and red dry wines via traditional and classic technologies. These wines have properties of rich aromas, tastes and extractiveness characterizing to the specific wine varieties.
Continuous monitoring of technological processes, laboratory tests and degustations are held in order to receive high quality wines. Bottling of wine is done in the French bottles of the highest quality. Cork stopper is imported from Portugal. The bottles are sealed with wax. Overall, everything is selected in the way to help wine continue aging after bottling.
Special attention is paid to the care of the environment. In order to keep the area of the complex and Alazani basin clean, biological wastewater treatment plants are installed. A waste management system is arranged. The soil is regularly enriched with biologically pure fertilizers. Maintenance and cultivation of vineyards is carried out by bio- and organic methodology.
The company plans to implement ISO and HACCP management standards in the enterprise. Also, work is underway to convert production to environmentally friendly solar renewable energy.
